Cygnets in Nest - Day 3 - Still one Swan egg left

Six cygnets hatched and in nest! They all look very healthy, cute and fluffy! There is, however, still one egg left to hatch. She still is sitting on it, so there must be signs of life in the egg. In any event, today rained a lot, so I assume tomorrow, a sunnier and warmer day, will see even more action. In this video though, some amazing video basically IN the nest with the cygnets! Its like we are sitting in the mute swan nest with the just hatched cygnets. Look at them play and want to eat anything!

I know they are cygnets, but I love the term swanlings. Can’t wait to see them float on the water! The cygnets are very social and already learning so many life lessons that will one day help them start a clutch and teach their hatchling cygnets too.
