I've tried to recreate a newsreel item about the testing of Barnes Wallis's Bouncing Bomb, or Upkeep, as it was called. The video is set in the early spring of 1943 when Upkeep was being tested at Reculver Sands, in Kent.
The aircraft is the modified 'Provisioning' Mk I Lancaster from Aeroplane Heaven (Just Flight), which includes the animated bouncing bomb. Clips were recorded using FRAPS and editing with Windows Movie Maker 6.2. The background music is from the BBC series 'Dad's Army'.
