YAN makes electronic musicwith vintage synthesizers from the seventies and eighties in the base. The vibraphone and the marimba are at the heart of his productions. YAN's music is sometimes hushed and cinematic, but it can also be danceable and sturdy.

Jan van Eerd studied vibraphone and drums at the Royal Conservatory in The Hague and subsequently collaborated with Dutch artists such as Spinvis, Ellen ten Damme and Wende.
But now Jan is mainly YAN. Solo.
Inspired by and in line with Jon Hopkins, Four Tet, Nils Frahm and Philip Glass, YAN stands his ground. In 2022 Yan signed a record deal with Orange Mountain Music, the record company of Philip Glass in New York. 13 01 2023 is the release of the EP; Glass by Yan.
