1 Person Killed, Suspect in Custody in Morris Shooting That Caused Hours-Long Lockdown in Community
Morris, Illinois A man is in custody after a woman was shot at an apartment complex in south suburban Morris Thursday afternoon, according to officials.
Police responded to the 500 block of Twilight Drive shortly after 5:30 p.m. and asked people in the area to shelter in place while they searched for the gunman.
The gunman has since been apprehended, according to officials for the city.
No further details have been released at this time.
