A 104-year-old Spanish woman received an ovation, Monday, December 14, after recovering from the coronavirus at a Madrid hospital.
Doctors, nurses and staff clapped and cheered as the centenarian, Elena, was discharged.
Elena was in a COVID ward for 14 days and contracted pneumonia as a side effect of the virus.
She is the 4,149th coronavirus patient released by the Gregoria Marañón hospital. (AP)
