I like to go by the 3-2-1 method when smoking ribs:
3 hours on the smoker
2 hours tinted in foil with butter, brown sugar, honey or
whatever you like to use. Apple juice or even some beer
will work great.
1 hour back on the smoker covered with your favorite barbeque
sauce till the sauce sets up.
During this smoke, my Smokey Mountain 14.5 was running a little hot so I just shortened the times and they came out Fantastic! Total time was 2 1/2 hours on the smoker, 1 hour tightly wrapped
in foil with butter, brown sugar and honey and the last 30 minutes basted with barbeque sauce. You can find Richard's Country Meat Market homemade rib rub and barbeque sauce at:
