NOTE: Will Glahé (b. 1902 Elberfeld, Germany -- d. 1989 in Rheinbreitbach, Germany) - German accordionist, composer and bandleader. In the 1930s, he was, along with Heinz Munsonius and Albert Vossen, one of the most successful accordionists in Germany. He led his own orchestra from 1932, becoming one of the most popular dance bands in the Third Reich. One of his most famous songs in Germany was his 1936 recording of "Rosamunde" (a German female forename), a cover version of the song "Škoda lásky" ("Wasted Love") by Jaromir Vejvoda. Under the title "Beer Barrel Polka", the tune became enormous international success. Glahe continued his career during the WW2 in Germany and touring around the occupied territories in Europe. His orchestra's high ratings did not fell with the collapse of the Third Reich, but he contunued leading dance orchestras with a slightly alternated profile: from big band towards polka or a barn party style.
