As a member of Elac's Varro Premium series, the PS500 has a sleek, contemporary look together with unmatched power and performance. In order to boost power handling and heat management and produce a higher output SPL, Elac first integrates a big 2" voice coil and a lightweight treated paper cone into a specially designed high excursion 15" woofer driver.

A robust BASH amplifier with twin 4-channel DSP and 32-bit DACs powers the woofer driver, producing an incredible 500W RMS or 1000W Peak power output. The end effect is a maximum SPL of 115dB and a frequency response as low as 16Hz to 150Hz.

The Varro Premium PS500 from Elac, one of the first companies to offer APP-controlled subwoofers, incorporates their 3rd generation Sub Control 3.0 App with Auto EQ room correction and simple multi-subwoofer setup.

The subwoofer will automatically optimise the room EQ with the help of the Sub Control 3.0 software and your smartphone microphone, giving you more placement options without compromising performance. The app, which is compatible with iOS and Android smartphones, also gives you control over the subwoofer's numerous sophisticated settings.

For wired input connectivity, the PS500 features RCA line in and LFE connectors. All of this is fitted in an elegant vinyl wrapped, acoustically balanced 30mm MDF cabinet that is damped and internally braced to eliminate unwanted resonance for maximum performance.
