(21 Jul 2000) Russia says its fight against Chechen separatists is an internal matter, but international human rights groups have accused the Russians of abuses - and the conflict itself has spilled over the border into Georgia. Several thousand Chechen refugees have crossed the frontier mountains and Moscow says rebel fighters have gone with them, so Russian aircraft have attacked Georgian territory. Georgia says it is not sheltering rebels, but it is trying to alleviate any refugee suffering. Among the refugees is Larisa Gatalova, who did not want to leave Chechnya, but she's happy that her husband stayed behind to fight for independence.
