We brought Lake Speed's old NASCAR engine to PME Racing Engines for a dyno test to see how it runs after sitting for nearly 20 years. Working with @Stapleton42 , we are going to pull the engine apart, update the technology inside the engine (while keeping the same block, heads and manifold), and then put it back in Lake's 1993 Ford Thunderbird race car. He says he can still drive it, so we can’t wait to see how much power the rebuilt engine makes. We are also curious to see how quick Lake is in his old NASCAR race car.

This series of videos will cover the history of Lake's career, the dyno test and tear down, the engine upgrades, as well as the assembly and final dyno test. The last episode in the series will be putting the engine and Lake Sr back in the car!
