The judge presiding over Donald Trump’s civil fraud trial in New York issued a gag order on all parties from posting online about his staff following a social media post by the former president attacking the judge’s clerk and sharing her photo to his followers.

In a post on his Truth Social platform Tuesday, Trump claimed without evidence that the judge’s principal law clerk is the “girlfriend” of Chuck Schumer, and reposted someone who asked why she was “palling around” with the Democratic US Senator. Trump has frequently portrayed the case as the product of a “corrupt” Democratic “witch hunt” against him.
