Here's a new recording of one of the greatest Eb boogie-woogie's ever written. Jimmy Yancey's "Yancey's Bugle Call" has all the drive of Chicago boogie-woogie, but with his signature lilting sound, which makes for such a pleasing and killer groove. This tune has been one of my favorites to play for many years.
I hope that, for the more advanced students , this overhead view can provide a few tips and tricks for how to get this sound!
