Who should wear face masks?
The CDC now recommends should wear nonsurgical face masks when in public. This will help reduce the spread of the coronavirus pandemic around the world. “Based on the best evidence available at the time, it was not deemed that that would have a significant impact on whether or not a healthy person wearing a mask would contract COVID-19,” Adams said.
Under new recommendations, healthy people are advised to wear nose and face coverings, when they go out in public. They should wear normal disposable masks instead of the N95 respirators, as these are in short supply, and should be reserved for the medical profession and vulnerable people.
If you are using home made or non medical face masks, you should remember to wash your hands thoroughly with hand sanitiser before you put them on. We also recommend that you remove the mask by the straps, so you do not touch the contaminated part covering your face. Once removed please dispose of the mask responsibly in a bin.
