During the winter of 2023, myself and 14 alpinists set off on an epic 3 day mission to summit Mount Franklin, the crown jewel of the Nelson Lakes region. Although we failed to reach the summit due to adverse conditions, the journey was a memorable one. This video captures the spirit of mountaineering and the magical experiences and views that are worth climbing for.

This trip was part of the New Zealand Alpine Club (NZAC).
