Leadership and doctors at UCR Health, the clinical arm of the UC Riverside School of Medicine, share how they transitioned to telemedicine to help combat the spread of COVID-19.
Dr. Donald W. Larsen, CEO, UCR Health, explains what the physician/patient relationship looks like in telemedicine, and shares how the platform has allowed UCR Health to continue with its clinic volume with high quality of patient care.
We also hear from Celia Scoggins, Director, Ambulatory Operations, UCR Health, about operations during UCR Health's shift to telemedicine, and from Dr. Gerald A. Maguire, Professor and Chair, Psychiatry and Neuroscience, about the success of telepsychiatry during this uncertain time.
All agree that the COVID-19 crisis has brought telemedicine to the mainstream in record speed, and that we can expect much of telemedicine to stay after the crisis. Telemedicine has given doctors more capacity to attend to more patients, especially for psychologists and psychiatrists addressing COVID-19 fear, stress, and anxiety.
