The BeoLab 2 subwoofer serves only one purpose: to take advantage of the new universe of sound that Digital technology has created. BeoLab 2 is the most recent member of the loudspeaker family, having been expressly built to handle the low end of the sound spectrum (2001). It completes your surround setup and allows you to hear previously unseen elements in movies and music.

The initial BeoLab 2 design model was coated in high gloss black. It was 230mm wide, with the loudspeaker membranes protected beneath a circular grille. The model reflected designer David Lewis' desire to strike a reasonable balance between the criteria for superb sound reproduction and nice appearance.
