Easy and CHEAP fix if your Golf, Bora, Jetta mk4 1.9 tdi ALH doesn't start but it cranks. And this is random, out of the blue. Sometimes it starts without any problems, and then it doesn't start. It's not the fuel pump, not the ECU, it's not the valves it's a small electrical glitch called Relay 109.
This is the usual symptom, when you turn the ignition on, the heating coil (small icon on top of the immobiliser icon in the RPM dash, should be amber in colour and should stay on for a short time if it's hot outside, or longer if it's cold) doesn't lit up on the dashboard and this is one of the biggest clue that point to a faulty Relay 109.
I had the original one in, not black and not gray it's off white. You can see it in the part 2 of this video.
You can order Relay 109 on Amazon: [ Ссылка ]
The new relay is gray, it's smaller than the original one and also when in place correctly it will display 109 upside down. You'll see it in part 2 of this video.
