One of my favourite moments from the classic John Carpenter movie is just a short scene of The Thing in its initial dog form wandering though the complex in search of its next victim, while a muted 'Superstition' by Stevie Wonder plays somewhere in the background.

That it's such a low-key and understated scene makes it all the more creepier. Plus the dog actor - a beautiful half wolf/half husky breed called Jed - goes exactly where he's supposed to without once looking at the camera, the dolly or the crew members.
