Self-pity is a particularly common (and dangerous) place to be in recovery. A good wallow in self-pity can turn into a fast road back to your drug of choice. Today, I talk about my own struggles with self-pity, from my time in a treatment center (where one counselor was quick to remind me when I was being "King Baby") to as recently as this morning, when a good laugh at myself got me out of a self-piteous mood. I also take a look at some of the good suggestions the book "Living Sober" offers up about moving past this troublesome emotion.
