Unakkalari /Payasam Rice-1cup
Jaggery-6 (increase or decrease)
Salt-one pinch
Grated coconut-2tbsp
Water-31/2 cup
Cardamom-3-4
Ghee-1tbsp
Tulsi -
Method
Soak rice for 20 minutes..
Then wash well ..
Take a cooker and pressure cook the rice by adding water for 2 whistle in medium flame .
Boil jaggery in water and strain well..
When the rice is well cooked ,add jaggery and mix well..
Add salt and grated coconut and mix..
Now cook for 5 minutes stirring continuously ..
Finally add ghee and Tulsi ..
Check the taste
So the tasty payasam is ready to serve ..
Its a thick payasam ..
