The Dzhanibekov Effect or Tennis Racket Theorem has already been discussed many times. An indispensable condition for its occurrence is the asymmetric shape of a rotating body. I designed the "Chaos" gyroscope with a similar flywheel. The theory of rotation has also been known for a long time (for example, here: Landau, Lev D.; Lifshitz, Evgeny M. Course of Theoretical Physics volume 1 paragraph 37). The video shows that the movements of the flywheel are even more intricate than those of the "Dzhanibekov nut". This is due to the influence of the moment of inertia of the cardan suspension.
