RIMAU employs indigenous communities from the Royal Belum area in Perak as forest patrollers to protect Malayan tigers and other species in the Central Forest Spine, reducing the number of poacher snares found in Royal Belum forest by 90% -- igniting the possibility of a recovering number of tigers in the wild. This also provides sustainable employment for the indigenous community there, promoting a better future for the environment and the people who call the region home.
