Renowned Chef Vishnu Manohar has all set to break world record of longest cooking marathon of 40 hours and set new world record of 52 hours non-stop cooking.
The longest cooking marathon by an individual is 40 hours and was achieved by Benjamin J Perry (USA) in Lincoln, Rhode Island, USA, on March 12, 2014.
Informing about the event, Vishnu Manohar said that he was preparing for the event since last one year. The cooking marathon will start on April 21 at 8 am and conclude on April 23 at 5 pm. The marathon will start in the presence of Pithadish of Devnath Math, Anjangaon Surji, Jitendranath Maharaj and Vishnu’s father Digambarrao Manohar and mother Snehalata.
“I wish to spread the message, ‘vegetarian food is the best food’ through the cooking marathon,” said Manohar. According to Manohar, he would prepare pure veg 1,000 delicacies in non-stop 52 hours. It may be mentioned that Manohar had earlier set a record of biggest Paratha (5x5) and longest Kebab (9ft long). The event will be organised under the banner of Maitri Pariwar Sanstha. Dr Pinak Dande, Dr Sharad Suryawanshi, Pramod Pendke were present.
