I have created this video lesson to teach you how to write an opinion- essay (Do you think the advantages outweigh the disadvantages?) for the Writing Section of the Academic IELTS examination.

I highly recommend using the following paragraphs:
Introduction
• Background statement
• Those who analyse (the topic in question) point to both positives and negatives connected with this trend/development.
• Whist seeing potential drawbacks, I consider that, on balance,___is beneficial/advantageous.

Body paragraph 1
• It would be wrong to deny that this situation brings challenges. It usually results in (negative effect). Secondly, (problem) (focus only on two challenges)

Body paragraph 2
However, the enormous benefits associated with (benefit 1), (benefit 2) and (benefit 3) should not be overlooked. (Explain benefit 1 in detail). (Explain benefit 2 in detail). (Explain benefit 3 in detail).

Conclusion
In conclusion, I would argue that although difficulties may arise, those who___usually reap such benefits as (benefit 1), (benefit 2) and (benefit 3)
