Mike Bickle claims he changed his sermon “because of what happened to me yesterday…. I had a quite a day with the Holy Spirit.”
This is a lie. It never happened.
He said: "You only get one or two of those maybe a year, sometimes one or two of those in a decade or two. But a very powerful day.”
He repeats his lie and tries to make it seem more credible and more important by saying it is very rare.
“The Lord speaks clearly to me and says, ‘I have good news. I have a pre-emptive strike against the enemy's plan, and I have been planning this pre-emptive strike from before the ages, and it will succeed, and it will be covered with mercy and love and beauty.’”
God didn’t say any of this and Bickle knows He didn’t. This is more vintage Bickle where he tries a little too hard to make his false spiritual experiences sound authentic. “Clearly” is a tell; he used the same method when he talked about his claimed Cairo experience, when he lied and said he heard the audible voice of God. (It was “audible” to be clear.)
Bickle says: “Satan is called the accuser. This will seem like an exaggeration but accusation is actually his number one tactic. It's not even fear. It's not even murder. It's accusation… it's actually number one in terms of his weapons against the body of Christ.”
This is absolute nonsense. Accusation is not the number one tactic. Nowhere in the Bible does it say this. Jesus never said it. Nobody else ever said it. Bickle never even attempts to say the Bible says it. He just made it up. He even admits, “This will seem like an exaggeration,” because he knows it’s not credible, and it isn’t credible because it’s not in the Bible, and it sounds ridiculous.
Furthermore, the accusation verse he claims in Revelation 12:10 specifically says the accusations are made by satan “before our God,” not before man, and not through man: “the accuser of our brothers and sisters has been thrown down, the one who accuses them before our God day and night.’”
Bickle says: “I start praying for Israel and while I'm praying for Israel suddenly I began to travail in the Spirit and groan in the Spirit… Those of you that know me [know] I don't like people that make up stories like that.”
This is another lie about a spiritual experience and even Bickle knows it doesn’t sound credible. He says he doesn’t like people who make up stories like that even though he himself just did.
Bickle then says: “I'm travailing for Israel and this is when the Lord speaks. I begin to write probably three hours… just writing and writing and writing and weeping and writing and weeping and insight [is] coming. And my spirit is just really vibrant and the Lord is saying that Satan's plan is to accuse the global Body of Christ.”
This is all made up. He wasn’t travailing for Israel. The Lord was not speaking to him. And he was not writing revelations for three hours. The only reason he claims he was praying for Israel is to make his following claims of revelations and prophecy and teaching sound credible and authentic. The extreme emotions, the long duration of the experience, and the context of deep prayer are all false claims to make Bickle seem super spiritual and spiritually competent, i.e., receiving divine inspiration and insight.
This is more vintage Bickle. His method of operation for many years has been to claim extreme experiences to validate his false experiences. Other examples are hearing the audible voice of God (never happened); meeting the angel Gabriel (never happened); and going to heaven (never happened).
Bickle went through his entire song and dance in his final sermon to get to his point that “Satan's plan is to accuse the global Body of Christ,” to set up his defence, that the pending accusations from Jane Doe are false and from Satan, so pay no attention.
Mike Bickle needs to repent for lying about what the Holy Spirit did, lying about what the Holy Spirit said, and giving a false teaching about satan. Unless and until he repents, he should be permanently banned from ever preaching again.
