On this day in 1963, The Beatles returned to Hull for the 2nd time at the now demolished Majestic Ballroom theatre on Holderness Road.
Just two days after recording their debut album ‘Please Please Me’, The Beatles dazzled the Hull crowd with hit singles ‘Love Me Do’ and ‘Please Please Me’, as well as the not yet released future hits ‘I Saw Her Standing There’ and ‘From Me To You’.
Less than a year after this appearance in Hull, The Beatles had truly arrived on the world stage following their iconic appearance on ‘The Ed Sullivan Show’.
