Footage shows a stunning black python with iridescent scales being carried by its caretaker on World Snake Day.
Laura Brewer, staff at the private park The Reptile Zoo, recorded herself with one of their beautiful snakes Myla in Fountain Valley, California on June 27.
Myla is a Golden child reticulated python, which has a mutation that causes the rainbow-coloured shine on its scales.
Laura said: "We have been taking care of her since she hatched. With any of our snakes, if they are giving us any signs of not wanting to be handled, we respect that! We want to ensure that relationship stays solid."
The Reptile Zoo has been open for more than 20 years offering educational interactive events to guests with admission to provide both traditional and exotic pets to the public.
