Amar Saigal is a very heart touching movie based on legendary Saigal. The very first private song used in the movie is "Kaun Bujhav, Tapat Morey Mun Ki Rama, Kaun Bujhave" but in a female voice. Remember the scene correctly, in this sequence young Saigal as a child is shown fascinated by the singing of a "Kothewali" and stands below the balcony of the house where she sings this song to entertain her clients, listening with rapt attention. Years later he records this song in his own voice and it becomes the rage all over India. Still later they show Saigal returning to the town and once again listening to this song sung by that "Kothewali". By this time, she has grown old and fallen on bad times. Saigal goes in the house and gives her a tidy sum so that she can live in dignity. Incidentally, the female singer who sings this song in the movie has sung as well as the great singer himself.
