Some fear the move will make America an outlier among developed nations in protecting reproductive rights.
Warning the health and life of American women are at risk, the commander-in-chief urged Congress to pass a law protecting abortion rights.
He also called on Americans to elect politicians who would protect abortion rights at the state and federal levels.
