It appears the crisis in the state Assembly is taking a different turn as suspended leader of the State Assembly, Edison Ehie, who is also an ally of Governor Siminalayi Fubara has announced his emergence as the new Speaker.
Mr. Ehie says his faction of lawmakers elected him to the new position following the crisis at the House of Assembly.
This comes hours after Edison Ehie was removed as Leader of the House and suspended by another group of lawmakers at the Assembly complex.
