The Village basketball competition started last year in the small township of Guizhou's Taijiang. It was so popular that the town organization named this activity as Village Basketball Association (VBA), in Chinese "村BA". Now it becomes well known all over China, even some parts in the world. So Caron Butler, Stephon Marbury, Allen Iverson and many Chinese famous basketball players,singers and other stars have been visiting here.
Now the competitions has formed as regular pattern and is held every weekend. All the non professional rural teams are welcome and invited here.
The prizes are also unique, not trophies and bonuses, but cows, goats, pigs, chickens and ducks.
