🇬🇧: After Shark Bay, Kalbarri! We arrive in the morning to visit the Kalbarri National Park, a nice park which looks like Karijini, especially with its red colors and its gorges. It’s school holidays, and there are a lot of people, especially from Perth, which we’re not used to anymore!
We continue towards the lovely coastal town of Kalbarri in the afternoon, to chill and relax in Chinaman’s beach. We enjoy this break to play beach volley, have some food and a shower!
A bit further south, we start one part of the beautiful coastal walk, 3.7km to be more accurate. The colors are amazing with the rain, and we’re greeted by a double rainbow! On the path we have the chance to see a kangaroo and a bobtail lizard. This place reminds me a lot of the Great Ocean Road with those massive sandstone cliffs.
We continue further south to have a quick stop at Hutt Lagoon Pink Lake! The color of the water is just amazing! Then we find a spot to spend the night, next to some giant dunes. The day after, we decide to look for waves, as the surf becomes gentler. We find the perfect spot at Wedge island, where everyone has the chance to try surfing, and chilling!
Just further spot, we stop by the Nambung NP, to see the Pinnacles! These amazing big rocks come out of nowhere, in this weird landscape, it’s crazy!
Then we have our last stop of the trip in Lancelin, where we have the chance to surf again some nice waves, but foremost to sand board in the Lancelin dunes!!! We also enjoy our time to go for a road trip in the dunes with the 4x4! Epic!
It’s time to move on towards Perth, our final destination. But I plan to spend a couple of days there to visit some friends and explorer Fremantle and Rottnest Island!
