Area's Zoning - want to escape the suburbs? Make sure you know what the surrounding area is zoned. If the area permits development, it might be targeted by developers.
Tip : find out if there are plans to amend the zoning, that way you know what to expect in the future.
Water Source - on a well? Have a bacterial analysis test done to make sure the water is potable.
Sewage System - septic? How old is it and when was the last time it was pumped? Septics are pumped twice a year on average, unlike a Holding Tank that is pumped on avg every 6-8 weeks.
Road Maintenance - serviced by the municipality? If not, ask the Sellers how the community manages in the winter months.
