Are you a bofrot lover looking for a recipe to the perfect bofrot? Then here, I've got you covered! My little girl is a very picky eater and getting her to eat anything is a challenge; but she loves loves her "boofrot" when I make it. So believe me when I say this yeilds great result. Ingredients:
3.5 cups all purpose flour
1 cup sugar (or to taste)
1 tablespoon active dry yeast
1/3 cup evaporated milk
1 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon grated nutmeg
2 cup warm water
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
Oil for deep frying
Directions
Mix all dry ingredients in a big mixing bowl and set aside
Add vanilla extract and milk to water and stir
Make a hole in the middle of the dry ingredients and add liquid. Mix well.
Cover with cling film and wet towel leave in a warm place (I normally warm my oven at the lowest temperature, turn it off and leave mixture there for 45 minutes to 1 hour to rise) it should double and have air pockets.
Heat up oil
Stir the mixture to get out air pockets and start frying until golden brown
