Gotham City is the home of the Batman created by DC Comics, and it shares many of the same relaxing vibes of Blade Runner, the City of Tron, Night City from Cyberpunk 2077, and Mute City from the game F-Zero. In reality, Gotham is similar to Chicago, Detroit, New York City, Las Angeles, Kansas City, Oakland, Memphis, Cleveland, and St. Louis.

I recorded the background from Batman Arkham Knight gameplay, then added 10 hours of additional ambient traffic and city sounds, subtle riots breaking out periodically, occasional distant gunfire in the background, and sporadic helicopter flybys to fill out the soundscape.
