Dance has been my ray of hope, my motivation, my strength, and definitely my oxygen during these difficult times.
Lockdown and curfews restricted my movement outside but the movement with my body and space had no restrictions. When the lockdown was imposed last year, my wedding was postponed and at the same time 100 other things happened, the mind was disturbed and restless. To engage my body and mind I started with 21 days of creative challenge with no self-confidence, as days went a self-discovery journey had started unknowingly and my confidence started to build up.
When live stage performances were not an option, social media became my audience. Love and encouragement from my friends on social media kept flowing in, and for an artist, these small words of love are enough to keep going.
Hope is being able to see that there is light despite all of the darkness. Let's all hope for getting back on stage with a spotlight on us. Let's all hope for a better tomorrow.
This video is an ode to my art for being with me during these difficult times.
