Did a decent job and didn't darken them much. I do not wear these boots a lot and wanted something that would help soften the leather so they broke in faster (didn't really notice much of that because the leather was soft already) and protect the leather since my house is dry in the winter. Also wanted something to make boots as water resistant as possible. Got the boots and Obenaufs on Amazon.
