When Rob Pannell was taken first overall in the 2012 MLL Draft, fans eagerly awaited his arrival in the league. Little did they know his first appearance wouldn't come until 2013. In his highly anticipated debut, Pannell did not disappoint, racking up a hat trick and an assist in the first half. For his efforts, Pannell was named Cascade Rookie of the Week.
The rest of 2013: This performance capped an incredible week for Pannell, as he played in his final collegiate game on the 25th and won the Tewaaraton Trophy on the 29th. In his 10 games in the MLL, Pannell recorded 42 points, giving him the highest point per game total in the league. His outstanding play earned him Cascade Rookie of the Year.
