Retro-X is another one of my projects that will allow you to be able to format your USB to be like my USB with the backwards compatibility title update or aka "Xbox Backwards Compat Title Update" and the flash drive will be made Xbox formatted ready. Remember to use a small 4GB or 8GB flash drive as much as possible. You will be limited to 3.7GB due to the flashing of the .bin file. This video will explain all this to you, enjoy!
Please keep in mind that you HAVE to be CONNECTED to the Internet and a Xbox Internal HDD (NOT USB EXTERNALS) in order to use the update! If you have a Xbox 360 Slim that has a corrupted 4GB SSD then this will work exactly like the video shows. If not please buy a Xbox 360 Internal HDD or make your own!
You can not just take any HDD or SSD and format it, please review links below to see what supported HDDs are compatible to the 360. There is more details that explains why and the dos and don'ts.
