Students of Patiala-based Rajiv Gandhi National University of Law (RGNUL) held protests against the university's vice-chancellor for 'violation privacy of girl students'. The vice-chancellor allegedly conducted a surprise check and questioned the dressing of students in the hostel.
The statement by the student group said, "the vice-chancellor entered rooms and asked inappropriate questions, including, " apne shorts kyu pehni hai"".
"Such behavior from a figure of authority is unacceptable", the statement further added.
