How to sharpen the edges of your cross country skis
Tools required: 90 degree ski sharpening guide, diamond file/s (ebay)
Top tips: i) I made my file guide myself from aluminum as these can be overpriced IMHO - you can use any angled material that will not scratch the ski surface. ii) I got my files from an ebay supplier - these were a lot cheaper than a specific set designed for skis, just a few dollars for the set, iii) most skis are filed to a few degrees off 90 degrees, so I used a thin cable tie as a spacer between the guide and the fil;e, until I got an angle that matched the existing.
