Rome: Scuffles break out between police and supporters of right wing group, who protested against anti-COVID-19 safety measures. Following days of protest through Italy, 150 supporters of far-right party Forza Nuova gathered in Piazza del Popolo. In other parts of Italy, violence was reported in at least two major northern cities, Milan and Turin as vast crowds protested freedom-limiting restrictions enforced to tackle a second surge in coronavirus cases. Vast crowds also gathered in Naples. Witnesses said a number of luxury stores, including a Gucci shop, were ransacked in central Turin as crowds of youths took to the streets after nightfall, letting off huge firecrackers and lighting colored flares.
