I've used Design Tables for years, and when the configuration table showed up, took a look but set it aside as not being able to use equations as you can in a Design Table. This semester I am teaching on Zoom and a number of students didn't have Excel installed and for various reasons weren't able to. So I went back to the Configuration Table and realized that I could do most of what I wanted to by setting global variables equal to specific dimensions and then use them in other dimensions as equations without having to type in dimension names. Works well enough that I think I am going to stop using Design Tables since they only work with Excel and they are so easy to close accidentally.
