Watch the "M12B" miniature gasoline engine running
The M12B miniature gasoline engine is running on 95 octane Aspen alkylate fuel with approximately 4% oil added for internal lubrication. The engine creates a significant amount of smoke when running. This is due to the combustion of the oil in the fuel mixture.
*Specifications (according to manufacturer):*
*Displacement:* 1.6 cc
*Cylinder bore:* 13 mm
*Stroke:* 12 mm
This is a four-stroke engine capable of relatively high speed, and it is water cooled. As you can see in the clip it also features a carburetor with a lever to adjust the engine's speed. It also features an oil needle to adjust the carburetor according to the type of fuel (I believe these engine can run on a variety of fuels, including Zippo lighter fluid). The engine has a small spark plug and the ignition system (hidden in in wooden base) is electronic. It is powered by a set of three 1.5V AA cells.
I did not make this engine myself but bought it on ebay.
