Detectives from the Montgomery County Police Department – 5th District Investigative Section continue to investigate the December 12 double shooting that occurred in Germantown.

Detectives have obtained video surveillance from a business in the 19600 block of Gunners Branch Road that investigators believe captured the two suspects prior to the shooting. Today, detectives are releasing that video and are asking for the public’s help in identifying the suspects.

On Tuesday, December 12 at approximately 6:30 p.m., the Emergency Communications Center (911) received multiple calls for the reports of two persons who had been shot in the area of the 19600 block of Gunners Branch Road.

Upon arrival, first responders located the two victims inside a food establishment. The two victims had fled from the suspects, seeking shelter in the fast-food restaurant. A 26-year-old male was suffering from a gunshot wound to his upper body and a 27-year-old male was suffering from a gunshot wound to his lower body. Both victims were transported to an area hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

This remains an active investigation. Detectives believe that this was not a random event and there is some prior association between the suspect(s) and the victims.
