In the last novel of the Barsoom series by Edgar Rice Burroughs, we follow John Carter through two adventures. The first involves John carter up against an hormad leader of invading army consisting of a large number bird steeds, infantry and a huge giant.

The second story has john carter being captured by men from Jupiter and is taken as a means to extract information for thier invasion on mars.
