Sometimes our container farms are the first step for someone to start their own farming business, for others, it’s an add-on to continue to grow their passion for local and sustainable food production.
BrightBox Farms is in the latter group. In 2019, they started growing microgreens and herbs indoors and selling them to local markets in Kodiak. Seeing the demand for local, year-round fresh food production in Alaska, they made the decision to expand their business with the Greenery to grow more varieties of greens, lettuce, salad mixes, and herbs.
