FANUC’s Authorized System Integrator JMP Solutions designed and built a custom robotic system equipped with vision tracking to safely place primary food/protein onto trays.

How the system works:

FANUC LR Mate 200iD/7LC cleanroom robots pick and stack thermoform trays onto a tray station. Randomly located steaks enter the system and FANUC DR-3iB/8L food-grade delta robots, equipped with vision, pick and place steaks onto the trays.

The vision system analyzes steaks for shape/orientation and identifies vein-steaks versus regular steaks to dictate how the product is placed into trays. The tray station holds five trays to minimize being overloaded with vein steaks.
