The Emerald Dream… Cut from the Initial Release of the World of Warcraft in 2003. When it comes to Cut Content, this zone is one of the most Heavily Mythicized topics on the Internet.

I’ve heard about it for years online, so I decided to investigate it for myself.

I humbly present to you everything I could find on the Cut Content Version of the Emerald Dream.

This is my first Journey into cut content like this. Due to, CR issues, I tried to shoot all my own footage. There are a LOT more resources out there... I did not include ‘direct’ quotes or anyone else’s work… Besides the amazing Developers at Blizzard.

I put a few screenshots of the tools that I used, some behind the scenes and cutting room floor action of my own, to show my ‘work’.

I hope this is taken as Glorification of the works of the Blizzard Developers, and a tiny peek into the inner workings of a ‘World’ that is beloved by so many.

This was shot* mostly in 3.3.5a or using Noggit, I tried to get some 'alpha footage' but it's mostly there for cinematic/funny purposes (to set the mood, like a way back when kinda thing). If you'd like more info or want to chat, hit me up in the comments below!

I love this game, exploring it, the lore, gameplay, etc., and that includes the - backend of how the game works. I just think ANYTHING to do with WoW is, cool... so, I hope you enjoy it half as much as I do.

PS. Sorry about the Quality on the Fairy Music, I tried like 10 times to record it on my Acoustic Resonator Bass, it has no pickups, with a really bad, Guitar Hero Mic... But I put so much work into it, and I felt it was a passable homage.
