Conservation International drive the uptake and implementation of social responsibility initiatives among private sector, non-governmental organizations, and government partners in order to protect human rights, improve social performance and achieve conservation outcomes in globally important oceanic and coastal fisheries. CI deliver on this through the implementation of effective tools and policies to protect workers’ civil, political, economic, social, and cultural rights. This means that from on-the-water field projects to international policy negotiations, CI ensures the rights of people — indigenous peoples, rural communities, men and women — are respected.
